The Bureau of Career Development provides leadership and support for the career and technical education (CTE) system at both secondary and post-secondary levels. This system provides technical education in specific career fields. High school students completing these two and three year programs are prepared for immediate career employment or to continue their studies at a post-secondary institution.

NH Works operates 13 centers across the state to help job seekers find career solutions and to assist employers with finding and developing employees. Services for job seekers include: links to local and national job search Web sites, job search tools and tips, and assistance locating needed training or education. Services for employers include: recruitment services, information on employment and labor laws, hiring incentives, disability resources, and other services and benefits. Each NH Works Center provides access to computers, phones, and faxes free of charge and is attended by friendly staff.

Provides employers with labor, free space, electricity, worker's compensation, supervision and record keeping for performing light assembly, inspection, packaging, soldering and other labor intensive manufacturing related production tasks in their Dover facility. Employer provides equipment, materials and competitive wages. With just under 20 years of success, the Jail Industry Program has supported $1.2 million in gross sales and placed over 62% of inmates in jobs after release.

The Trade Act programs, Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) and Alternative Trade Adjustment Assistance (ATAA), assist individuals who have become unemployed as a result of increased imports from, or shifts in production to, foreign countries. The goal of the Trade Act programs is to help trade-affected workers return to suitable employment as quickly as possible.
