This initiative is a public/private collaborative effort between the Department of Resources and Economic Development (DRED), Knowledge Institute, New Hampshire Manufacturing Enterprise Partnership (MEP), New Hampshire High Tech Council (NHHTC), New Hampshire Workforce Opportunity Council (WOC), International Trade Resource Center (ITRC), New Hampshire Small Business Development Centers (NHSBDC), Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire (BIA), and the manufacturing community who are collectively working together to productively impact economic and community development in the State of New Hampshire. Developed by the Knowledge Institute, nhManufacturer.com is a comprehensive resource community without walls; a place where start-up, emerging, relocating and established entrepreneurs can go to discover resources for further developing their manufacturing operation; a learning environment, a networking engine, and a place to connect with specific resource providers that can help to create competitive advantages, support R&D initiatives, and improve profitability. With a centralized source of targeted information, manufacturing development and support initiatives across the state can improve upon their ability to reach target constituents and so improve upon the impact of their technical assistance programs. Through web-based technologies and navigational features, the virtual network is designed to promote collaboration, develop and leverage resources, facilitate shared learning and problem solving, and involve manufacturing stakeholders in the ongoing development process.
